Our client is looking for a professional to head the architecture, design, development, and deployment of MBS Applications with a specific focus on Axapta within the Microsoft Enterprise and Upper Mid-Market customer base. The person will be a key technical spokesperson for MBS and will meet with customers, partners and key industry influencers to present the MBS Technical Strategy and key integration points with the overall Microsoft Technology Vision. He/she must be fluent in all aspects of relevant MBS products and services and possess excellent presentation skills to concisely design, articulate and present our strategy to decision makers at key customers.
In addition, the person will:
- Provide architectural oversight for large-scale MBS implementations
- Lead MBS Architect & Designer, Project Manager, Developer technical communities
- Work directly with customer’s IT to define and scope the strategic MBS ERP
implementations
- Foster and maintain relationships with key technical resources in product groups,
regional MCS Support, and partner organizations. Know how and when to leverage
MCS skills.
- Provide direction, instruction, and understanding around complex MBS technologies to customers and their technology personnel.
- Work with business development during project envisioning properly characterizing
technical alternatives and qualifying scope requirements.
- Provide quality assurance on large-scale/high risk engagements

- The primary technical qualification is experience and proficiency in developing ERP based solutions in the upper mid market leveraging MBS Applications and Microsoft classic technologies. Experience with Axapta is highly desirable.
- Minimum of ten years relevant working experience in ERP applications, systems development, software support, and consulting - including enterprise architecture.
- Business development experience is strongly desired.
- Strong project leadership skills, excellent communication, planning, and presentation skills are also a plus. The candidate will have a successful track record in consulting in the ERP application space; ideally working with Tier I solutions; such as SAP, Oracle and PeopleSoft).
- Advanced level of knowledge in three or more of the following areas in addition to functional technology of ERP/CRM applications:
.NET Frameworks, C#, ASP.NET, SQL, XML Technologies and Web Services.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products such as Win2003K Advanced Server, SQL Server 2000/2005, BizTalk Server 2004, SharePoint Portal Server 2003, CMS, Office Systems, ASP, COM+, VB, TCP/IP and general networking and Active Directory is required.
